Our Mission
My Home Support, Inc. is dedicated to providing enhanced, inclusive, safe, respectful, and innovative support to adults with Intellectual Disabilities, and to assisting them, as they develop full lives and meaningful relationships of their choosing in Stanislaus County and San Joaquin County.
Our Goal
At My Home Support, Inc. our goal is to improve the overall quality of life of intellectually disabled individuals within our community. .
Our Strategy
- A solid commitment to serving individuals with challenging behavioral, medical, and legal issues.
- Continually enhancing and improving our services to provide high quality Supported Living services.
- Implementing ongoing high-quality training programs for staff members and managers within our agency. These training programs focus on person-centered care, trauma-informed care, communication skills, and behavior management techniques.
- Implementing a system for tracking and monitoring individualized care plans to ensure that all individuals receive the best care possible.
- Increasing our consumers' community integration by providing a variety of activities in which individuals can participate.
- Improving nutrition and health outcomes by providing healthy meal options and encouraging exercise programs for all individuals within our agency.
Who We Are
Our Story
My Home Support, Inc. was founded in April 2023 by Waleed Elhag and Alain Tumbalongo who saw a need for quality community Supported Living Services in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties. Over the past fifteen years, Waleed and Alain have been serving behaviorally-challenged and medically-complex individuals in the Santa Cruz community and East Bay community. They possess extensive experience serving individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, cognitive deficits, seizure disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia, pedophilia, various medical conditions, as well as those who have past issues with law enforcement. Waleed and Alain are both deeply passionate about assisting people with disabilities in reaching their dreams, and are excited about the opportunity to collaborate on a project that is so closely aligned with their values and interests.
President
Waleed Elhag possesses extensive experience in the developmental disabilities field. He has collaborated on several successful Supportive Living Services' agencies in the past and present in the Santa Cruz and East Bay regions. He commands excellent communication skills and is able to motivate and lead teams towards achieving higher standards of care for consumers. Waleed strongly believes that following our consumers’ aspirations is the first step to establishing a good working rapport with them. And, that by following the desires and dreams of those we serve, we create a better quality of life for them, with greater stability, and fewer behavior issues.
Vice President (Operations)
Alain Tumbalongo possesses tremendous experience serving individuals with challenging behaviors and complex health needs. He is a highly motivated and energetic individual, with the necessary skills and expertise to lead teams and develop programs to better improve consumers' lives. Alain has never shied away from a challenge, and in fact he has given a second chance to many consumers, whom other agencies would have not even considered serving. Alain is deeply passionate about assisting people with disabilities in reaching their dreams and aspirations, and feels that his work is closely aligned with his personal values and interests.
